Rhythm Adventures

Rhythm Adventures is a rhythm based program designed for grades K-6. All students are provided with various percussion instruments and are guided on a one hour musical adventure in rhythm that helps to develop musical concepts, creative thinking, coordination, social skills and of course FUN. Every student is outfitted with an instrument at the same time, which makes this truly an interactive and unique experience for all. Kids and teachers alike love the variety of Rhythm Adventures which are geared to spark the creative juices and are just plain fun! No prior musical experience is required. The Rhythm Adventures program has been used in school assembly, short-term residency and after-school enrichment settings.

Just some of the various instruments usedKid’s Rhythm Adventures is aptly named as the kids become the focal point as they are taken on a rhythmical journey, where THEY make the music and play rhythm games as a team of One World Rhythm in search of the illusive “perfect” groove. Students are outfitted with instruments (their gear) and a facilitator (their guide) as part of their musical quest. Along the way students will be exposed to various instruments from around the globe; learning concepts such as dynamics, rhythm, time/tempo, meter, communications and creative thinking.

Rhythm Adventures complies with the California Standards in Music Education, and is designed for grades K-6. A special pre-school/kindergarten version is also available. Rhythm Adventures can be presented in individual classroom settings or as full assemblies. A study guide is available upon request which includes pre and post event activities as well as additional reference material.

Administrators and faculty love that the material covered in Rhythm Adventures also seamlessly ties to other educational disciplines such as english, math, history and science.
